omg I wan't watching FOX and missed this definitive report

oh well, there goes a life based on lies

Zap, I hate to break it to you, but Brian Wilson himself admitted that the Beatles’ works doing their psychodelic phase inspired him to change his own music. Just sayin’.

Beach Boys are god, not better than the Beatles but so what, the best of the best in their own right.

Brian Wilson's vocal arrangements are as good as it gets.

The funny thing about this topic is that the respective legacies of these bands inevitable results in a showcasing of the enduring musical legacy of The Beatles versus the tragic drug-facilitated decent into madness of Brian Wilson, albeit less enduring than that of Sid Barrett.

    Regarding the former...

Brian continued to make good music with the Beach Boys long after the Beatles ended. when people talk about Beach Boys they parrot the same old shit about how Brian went crazy, that doesn't diminish what the band accomplished. John Lennon went crazy too, they just didn't have publicists that made a big deal about it to get attention and frame him as a mad genius like the Beach Boys did

The Beatles are head and shoulders above them in my opinion,

But if I had to listen to one song on a loop for eternity it would be God only knows, beautiful.

Lennon didn’t hole himself up in his bedroom for a number of years because the voices in his head told him he was going to be killed, followed by being controlled for several more years by a corrupt psychotherapist who put a padlock on his frig to keep him from eating himself to death, take up residence in his main house while consigning him to live in his guest house, and then tried to cheat him out of music royalties. He simply married a crazy woman. And continued to make great music while doing so.
